Welcome to the launch of my brand new website The LUXESTATEMENT.COM and my very first blog post! My name is Tommy J. and I'm so excited to share with you what we have to offer. For those of you who know me personally, you know this has been a dream deferred for far too long. The insane amount of mind-blowing ideas, how-to's and inspiration occupying my mind are desperately eager to escape. I'll start by telling you a little bit about who I am, how The Luxe Statement was established, and what you can expect to see on Our Blog. About Me I'm Tommy J. an experienced wedding & event planner based in Atlanta, Georgia. For as long as I can recall, I've been fascinated with over the top events and glamorizing things. At a very early age, my mom, family & teachers all recognized and encouraged my natural flair for accentuating the beauty in even the simplest things. By age 14, I'd gained an understanding of appreciating small details and even managed to establish a small business organizing & decorating local homes during the holidays. Collectively these things ignited a fire within me that I wouldn't understand until much later in life. After graduating high school, I attended the Art Institute of Atlanta and later received my BBA in entrepreneurship. Over the years, I've worked for several prominent retail establishments which have allowed me the opportunity to express my creativity and passion for design. While the journey hasn't been easy, I'm grateful for having a supportive circle of family & friends who wouldn't let me give up and constantly encouraged me to follow my dreams. The Luxe Statement At the the age of 16, with very little experience I was afforded an opportunity to plan & design my very first wedding. This was the beginning of a lengthy road to comprehending the fire which I now know and understand to be passion. Needless to say the wedding was a hit, and my desire to learn the industry grew as word of mouth began to spread. By the early 2000's The Luxe Statement had built solid working relationships with various influential figures in the community as well a reputation for orchestrating some of the most beautiful events in the area. For this reason, it had become common to book, plan & design events not only in it's fixed locality, but in the neighboring state of Florida. The Luxe Statement has been both rewarding and inspirational. (I still can't believe it's actually happening at times!) Throughout this journey, We've been blessed to earn the trust of numerous couples and individuals from all walks of life. Because of them, The Luxe Statement is now able to press forward and expand it's reach to new & soaring heights. Our Blog Our blog is largely comprised of articles from various sources, including some of the industries most reputable vendors and event planners. While we are steadily growing, we are constantly learning new techniques and enlivened by inspiration from around the world. This blog is intended to inspire and educate our followers as we work diligently towards being recognized as one of the nation's top event planning & design firms. Please feel free to always share your advice and/or opinion(s) with us along the way! I hope to personally inspire each and every one of you in one way or another because truthfully, it's you where I find my inspiration.
